OK, yes I know I have not blogged about anything for months. Life with four children is just so busy. Every time you turn around there is always something going on. We had a nice holiday this year for a change( no one sick that is). We took a family vacation to Disney World in April, which allowed Gaby to spend her birthday with the disney princesses( yes my baby is already two).
Jonathon turned six this March and just had his kindergarten graduation yesterday June 6th. His teachers who are just wonderful made each family a DVD comprised of pictures from this year, both Ashley and Jonathon were really excited to see it, and I will say that I shed a few tears. Gabriella had tubes placed in her ears last month, she is doing wonderful, however John still has battle scars that he endured while she was waking from the anesthesia. Kaitlyn is going to be 8 years old in only two short months, it seems like just yesterday when she was born. In just two weeks we will be taking a mini vacation to Virginia for Jennifer's wedding which both Jonathon and Kaitlyn are in. We are all so excited to go. Jen and I have been friends since early childhood since our moms are good friends and have been since forever. Then next month is our ten year wedding anniversary, again I can not believe how quickly time passes. I will try to go back and add some pictures for the months that I have missed.

Ashley's 3rd birthday Montessori style!!!!

Ashley celebrated her third birthday just four days after starting school. She was so excited and she wanted Gaby, Kaitlyn and I to join in on the action. So we went back to school early so that we could be a part of the celebration. I sat and read a book to the class while everyone sat in a circle. Than Miss Lori, Ashley's teacher lit a candle in the center of the circle for Ashley to walk around three times while the class sang their birthday song, "The Earth goes around the sun". Each time Ashley would travel around the sun a photo from that year was shared with the class as well as her big accomplishments for that year. Ashley however was feeling a bit shy so big brother Jonathon took her walk for her, and Gaby decided she would wear the special crown. Here are some photos.

Tony's 60th birthday!!!

Saturday September eighth was John's father Tony's 60th birthday celebration. We set up tents and had a surprise party for him at Maria's house. It was a lot of fun for everyone. John and Ze brought him to the party and we got to hear a lot of old stories. We were also able to see a photo montage that Ze put together for him. As usual there was a ton of food, even enough left over to feast the next day!
Watching an "extreme" dream take shape!!!

Extreme makeover home edition an ABC show that we just can not get enough of was taped in Bridgeport this summer. It was truly captivating to watch it all take shape in just seven days, from demolition to "Move that bus"!! Here are a few of the pics that I took. I just could not get enough! At lest some part of each day was spent watching this dream take shape. It was truly amazing. Dad and I even went to volunteer the night before the family got home after we had finished work. We got home that night at four o'clock in the morning but it was all worth it.
Kaitlyn's 7th birthday!!

Wow, it's hard to believe how time flies and that my oldest child is turning seven already!! She wanted to visit the American girl place again this year for her birthday, so on Saturday the day before her birthday we drove into the city to visit American girl place, build a bear workshop and world of disney. To top off the day her birthday dinner was celebrated at Carmine's on the upper West side, which was fantastic as always. We even enjoyed a dessert of "Titanic" proportionsThe last two picture were from her party on 8/12.

Montessori End of year picnic

At the end of each year of Montessori school, they have a picnic for all of the families at Owen Fish park in Fairfield. So on the last day of school we all went to the park and had a blast. Nana came along to join the festivities. This is also the 100 yr anniversary of montessori education so the picnic was extra special with a drum circle where each child and adult got to use a drum and march around the park. There was certainly lots of food and fun.
